How to Respond to Criticism for Your Christian Beliefs About Sex
In our present cancel culture, when it comes to views about sex, Christians are definitely seen as being on the wrong side of history. Any who would dare vocalize or even hold to the historic biblical teaching on sex are often judged as “homophobic”, “intolerant”, or “bigoted”. Many are feeling the social, relational, and even professional cost of standing for biblical truth. And in witness, many Christians find the first question they’re asked to be, “so where do you stand on homosexuality?”
Being seen as out of step, on the wrong side, or even undesirable is something Christians have had to contend with through the ages. In our 21st century progressive cancel culture, Christians are facing this reality again, often at great personal cost. So, how do we respond? When we’re accused of being “hateful” because of our beliefs, what do we do? What do we say? How do we answer?
In this episode, Scott and Shawn turn to the Bible for guidance to help Christians think through and learn how to prepare themselves for the confrontations that may (and likely will) come if we continue holding to God’s truth about sex in a world that can’t tolerate it.
